What is Labiaplasty Surgery?
The goal of labiaplasty surgery is to reduce or reshape enlarged labia minora or majora. Most patients choose labiaplasty surgery to improve the appearance of the labia, but in some cases a patient may experience pain or discomfort during physical activity and intercourse. There are different techniques used to address the patient’s anatomy and needs and your surgeon will discuss their recommendations at the time of the consultation. .
The Aesthetica Difference
At Aesthetica Plastic Surgery, our surgeons bring over 25 years of combined experience and have performed hundreds of labiaplasty procedures in Utah. Labiaplasty requires a highly skilled and experienced surgeon to carefully excise tissue without over-resection, which could lead to undue tension or distortion of the vulva. It is essential not only to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result but also to preserve nerve function and minimize incisions. Our surgeons refined artistic eye and extensive expertise in labiaplasty ensure that your results will be optimized with the utmost attention to safety and natural appearance, providing you with confidence throughout your journey.
Journey to Confidence
At your consultation, you will meet with our patient care team to review your medical history as well as your goals for surgery. You will then meet with your surgeon to discuss the details of the procedure, recovery and expectations as well as create a surgical plan to achieve natural, contoured results. Our office staff will provide you with a surgical quote and assist in scheduling a surgery date.
You will have a pre-operative appointment three weeks prior to surgery. At this appointment, you will sign surgical consents, discuss any last minute questions and concerns, get your pre surgery goodie bag and get further pre- and post-surgery instructions. Photos will be taken at this appointment.
You will arrive at our accreditated surgery center about an hour before the procedure will begin. You will meet with our incredible surgical team to get you comfortable in preparation for your upcoming procedure. The procedure typically takes about 2-3 hours after which you will recover in our post surgical recovery room until your caregiver arrives to pick you up.
After surgery, you may notice some bruising, swelling, inflammation and tenderness. Make sure you are walking frequently, drinking lots of fluids and getting lots of protein to aid in a smooth recovery.
Bruising and swelling will start within 1-3 days. Make sure to take your Bromelain and Arnica to minimize the effects of bruising and swelling. You may feel tightness, tingling, and numbness that should start to subside over the next couple of weeks. It is recommended to avoid lifting and strenuous exercise for approximately 3-4 weeks. Patients are advised to refrain from sexual intercourse for about 4 weeks to ensure proper healing. It is important to not sit directly on the area until advised by your surgeon. Keep the area clean and dry. At Aesthetica, your safety and recovery are our top priorities. We provide frequent post-operative visits to monitor your progress closely and ensure optimal healing. Additionally, patients have 24/7 access to an on-call nurse for any urgent concerns or questions that may arise during recovery.
Experience the transformation, notice the difference, and embrace your renewed confidence. Patients will notice immediate results after labiaplasty surgery with optimal results appearing over the next 4-6 months and swelling subsides. Most patients feel deeply reassured in their decision to undergo labiaplasty procedure, knowing they’ve taken an important step toward achieving balance, comfort, and results that reflect their aesthetic goals.

Couldn't be happier!!! Amazing experience! - I could not have had a better experience with Dr. Croft and his staff. I received a breast re-augmentation with a lift and labiaplasty. Right away I felt extremely comfortable and trusted Dr. Kimball's expertise. He is talented, personable, honest, and caring. His staff was a joy to work with and equally courteous and helpful. Dr. Croft gave me exactly what I had envisioned!! I beyond happy with the results and would absolutely recommend him. Thanks so much!!!
