What Is A Facelift?
The primary goal of facelift surgery is to restore a more youthful and natural facial appearance through tightening underlying facial structures as well as removing excess skin and fatty tissue. Through facelift surgery, patients enjoy a refreshed look and love the improvement in their overall appearance including the neck and jowl area. The main objective to facelift surgery is to achieve natural, facial rejuvenation that reduces the visible signs of aging.

Journey To Confidence
At your consultation, you will initially meet with our patient care team to review your medical history as well as your goals for surgery. You will then meet with your surgeon to discuss the details of the procedure, recovery, and expectations as well as create a surgical plan to achieve natural, youthful results. Please come to the office with no make up, a low collar shirt and your hair pulled back. Our office staff will provide you with a surgical quote and assist in scheduling a surgery date.
You will have a pre-operative appointment three weeks prior to surgery. At this appointment, you will sign surgical consents, discuss any last minute questions and concerns, get your pre surgery goodie bag and get further pre- and post-surgery instructions. Photos will be taken at this appointment so please come with no make up, a low collar shirt and your hair pulled back.
You will arrive at our accredited surgery center about an hour before the procedure begins. You will meet with our incredible surgical team to get you comfortable in preparation for your upcoming procedure. The procedure typically takes between 6-8 hours after which you will recover in our post surgical recovery room until your caregiver arrives to pick you up.
After surgery, you may be bandaged from under the chin and around the top of the head. Please leave the bandages intact until you meet with our patient care team the following day. You may have drains placed which are typically removed at your first follow up appointment. Make sure to walk frequently, drink lots of fluids and eat or drink protein to aid with a smooth recovery.
Bruising and swelling will start within 1-3 days. Make sure to take your Bromelain and Arnica to minimize the effects of bruising and swelling. You may feel tightness, tingling, and numbness that should start to subside over the next few weeks. By week 4, most of the major swelling and discoloration resolves but you may still experience subtle residual puffiness in the coming weeks. Make sure to keep your head elevated, stay hydrated and get plenty of rest to aid in healing.
Once fully healed, you will get to enjoy the results of a natural, rejuvenated face with softening of nasolabial folds, a smoother neckline, well defined jawline, and overall improvement in skin tightness.
Aesthetica Plastic Surgery Reviews
Botox- a New Preventative Medicine for Youth - Provo, UT - Being 22 years of age Botox never crossed my mind until one of my older girlfriends through a Botox party at a local docs office. I reluctantly joined the group and they convinced me to get a little in the forehead and middle of the brow. I was thrilled with the results. I didn't even know I had wrinkles until I did the botox but the best part about it is that I am training my muscles at an early age for preventative wrinkles in the future. I urge young girls to start getting in on the preventative fillers and injections- less work and less money in the future if you do. I would rather do minor touch ups now then a costly face lift in my 40s. I would recommend Botox to everyone.
