What Is Renuvion®?
Renuvion, previously known as J-Plasma is a medical device that combines helium plasma and a proprietary radiofrequency (RF) energy to stimulate tissue contraction by carefully heating connective tissues directly beneath the skin. The Renuvion Face Tightening Procedure promotes natural collagen production leading to continuous soft tissue tightening and rejuvenation in the lower face and neck area. This treatment is ideal for patients who may not ready for a facelift but want tightening of mild to moderate skin laxity in the lower face and neck.

You will arrive at our accreditated surgery center about an hour before the procedure will begin. You will meet with our incredible surgical team to get you comfortable in preparation for your upcoming procedure. The procedure typically takes about 2 hours after which you will recover in our post surgical recovery room until your caregiver arrives to pick you up.
After surgery, you may notice some bruising, swelling and inflammation. You may have a soft wrap around the neck and lower face to minimize initial swelling. Make sure you are walking frequently, drinking lots of fluids and eating or drinking protein to aid in a smooth recovery.
Bruising and swelling will start within 1-3 days. Make sure to take your Bromelain and Arnica to minimize the effects of bruising and swelling. You may feel tightness, tingling, and numbness that should start to subside over the next few weeks. Most patients will wear a wrap around the head and neck or the first couple weeks day and night and then at night for an additional 6 weeks. You will need to avoid strenous activity for the first 2-3 weeks. Make sure to keep your head elevated, stay hydrated and get plenty of rest to aid in healing.
Patients will notice immediate results with the Renuvion Face Tightening Treatment with optimal results appearing over the next 6-9 months.

How does Renuvion work?
During a Renuvion treatment, a thin wand is inserted at small entry points at the target area (similar to liposuction), and the energy is applied underneath the skin. Renuvion delivers even, controlled energy with exceptional precision. Helium plasma and radio frequency (RF) energy are emitted simultaneously through a slender hand-held wand to provide an even application below the skin’s surface. This technique offers a dramatic yet gentle effect on tissue.
When will I see results?
Results vary from patient to patient. Some patients often report noticing results immediately after the procedure. However, results will continue to improve over the next 6-9 months as the body goes through the healing process.
What is recovery like?
Patients report minimal discomfort during the recovery process, including minor swelling and bruising for 1-2 weeks after the procedure. Patients can expect to return to full activity at two weeks.
